Hello!

 It’s Happening! Is it happening where you are too? SPRING!!! Oh my goodness, I have longed for the arrival of spring for what seems like a year (although clearly isn’t) and it’s unfolding before our eyes. Every morning I wake up and pull back the curtains as we get ready for breakfast and the light just floods in, a little more each day! Yippee! The flowers have forced their way through the sloppy brown ground here and it’s just GREAT! I cannot wait to open my back door every morning and let my kids just fall out into the garden, only seeing them when they need to be fed and watered! BRING IT ON!!!

Phew…down to the ground again… inside voice. So, we have been crazy busy here at MPD HQ and I think I have lost my mind a bit; I have been clearing the loft and getting ready for a house sale; Little A looks to be giving up his nap very soon and as this is the time when I usually do ‘blog stuff’ its been very difficult to record anything, take pictures or even think about writing a post! But, it’s a season of being a Mummy and I wouldn’t have it any other way (well, I would, I would have long nap times, but y’know…gotta get over it!).

So, despite it being a little crazy I have actually been busy making a few little creative beauties (hmmm…beauties? That’s a grand description but you know what I mean);

I have been playing with teeny tiny roses for a lady who asked if I could make something for her to wear in her hair on her wedding day (was that an unnecessarily long sentence?). She wants purple roses, so I picked out a few different weights of yarn/thread and things are coming along nicely. I'll let you know what she chooses and how it all looks in the end.
I hooked up a little something for a little girl’s first birthday. There haven’t been many girls in our family so it was nice to take the opportunity to make something more, erm, pink! More about that too soon.
I have been tempted by paper and paint once again and managed to produce a few doodles and a couple of cards for birthdays;

AND I was really lucky to visit Unravelled again this year with a couple of girlfriends. It was fab to get out and soak up other people’s creativity for a day. The colours were the best part, just look at this blanket! I’ll write another post about it soon, it won’t all fit in here!

So that’s us here at MPD, how are you? Now that spring is on it’s way I find I’m so much more inspired, is it the same for you? It maybe that I’m just a lot happier when the sun shines and that’s the food of creativity!

Thanks for stopping by, see you soon!
(Promise!)
